Paintings by Local Artist at Chameleon Nation Gallery

Paintings by Local Wolfe Island artist, Debra Krakow
will join the work of a number of other artists at
Chameleon Nation, a new art gallery in downtown Kingston,
at 112 Princess Street (next to Camera Kingston).
The art show opens Friday, October 12th, from 5 to 9 pm,
The Krakow paintings will be on display throughout the month of October

Book Signing with Jane Hall

There will be a book signing and celebration
with Jane (Greenwood) Hall, author of
THE RED WALL - A Woman in the RCMP

at Wolfe Island Community Hall

The Red Wall is a true story look inside the RCMP by Jane Hall who in 1977 was one of the first few women accepted into its ranks.

Says Jane Hall: “It is time to break the silence; time to acknowledge our successes and our failures. Time to move forward.”

The event is being hosted by the Wolfe Island Historical Society

Proceeds from sale of books to benefit the Historical Society,
Refreshments will be served

About the author:
Originally from Wolfe Island, Jane Hall, the daughter of the late Carmel and D.J Greenwood, now resides in Langley, B.C., but is still a frequent visitor to her family home. After receiving a B.A. and B.Ed. from Queen’s University, she joined the RCMP in June 1977 and retired in 1998.

Presents Our 2nd Annual Business and Community Mixer
At The General Wolfe Hotel
Thursday October 18th
6:30 p.m.
Refreshments will be provided

Representatives will be on hand from Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA), Frontenac Community Futures Development Corp. (FCFDC), the Community Foundation of Greater Kingston (CFGK), and Frontenac County to tell us what programs are available to assist us. This will be a great opportunity for networking.

This mixer should be of interest to local businesses, community groups, event planners anyone with an interest in our community’s development.

Wolfe Island Ferry Moves to Winter Dock

Take Note
that the Wolfe Islander III Ferry
begins its winter schedule
on Monday, October 22nd (5:45 am)
from the Dawson Point Winter Dock to Kingston
until further notice.

This means for those Coming from Kingston,
the ferry will not land in Marysville.
If coming for an event… dinner … stay over, etc.,
there is no bus or pick-up service available
from the winter dock to the village unless pre-arranged.
